The learning curve is real, but the ability to find a fault before it turns into a failure is exactly the kind of early intervention that saves money.

Whatever you choose, make sure your calibration provider can handle it. An out-of-calibration meter is a silent risk. I once rejected a shipment of 8,000 units because the measurement tool was off—not because the product was bad. That mistake taught me to verify the checker before checking the product.

Five minutes of verification beats five days of correction. That's why the right meter—and a proper calibration schedule—is worth every penny.
